Chur, I had such a choice stay! The view of the Barle valley ignited my spirit, but I wished for a wider breakfast selection. Cozy vibe overall, though!

Everything was lovely, had a thoroughly enjoyable stay for 2 nights. The location was absolutely perfect, in centre of Exmoor, convenient to go everywhere. Besides, it was really close to the National park and the seaside towns nearby, coast, and the restaurant because of the dog. My twin room was equipped with a coffee/tea maker, flat-screen television and a study table.

The good outweighs the bad (barely)
Fine views up the Barle valley made for enchanting evenings, and Andrew's extensive knowledge of fine whiskeys was excellent!
Limited breakfast hours made dining frustrating. The occasional noise from neighboring rooms disrupted my peace.

I had an very nice two nights in a double room with a fine view of the Barle valley. The hospitality was excellent, and Andrew's whiskey recommendations, including a rare 1970s Bruichladdich, were a highlight. The peaceful walks nearby were just beautiful. Wish I could have stayed longer 🌟

The double room was cozy with a private bathroom, tv, tea/coffee maker, and heating. Loved the view of the Barle valley! Super clean with free toiletries and a nice seating area. Andrew's whiskey selection was great. Breakfast was a treat, with eggs Florentine and Austrian muesli. Perfect for walkers!

Absoluteley gorgeous location, but the overall experience was disappointingly ordinary. The leaving part? Yeah, not great at all. The lack of immediate service for my comfort was laughable, and I expected a special welcome gift for my stay. Honestly, I almost considered a good review but just couldn't bring myself to. What a tragedy!

Comfortable double room with a private bathroom, well-equipped with quality products. The ambiance of the lounge, especially with the cute log fires.
While the hotel offers a nice atmosphere, the dining hours felt a bit limited and could disrupt your plans if you're looking for a leisurely start to your morning. The lack of immediate service during peak times can lead to minor frustrations.

It's not perfect, but It's nice
A lovely two-night retreat with fine views of the Barle valley! The hospitality was amazing-Andrew's enthusiasm and local insights. The charming atmosphere, combined with his excellent whiskey selection, created lovely evenings. If only the breakfast hours were more flexible! I can't wait to return someday.
